Good morning golfers,
It has been another busy week here at Panshanger and it's great to see so many people enjoying, not just the course, but footgolf, pitch and putt and of course the new Performance Simulator.
We have some great news with regards to a new Team Member starting in June. To compliment myself as a PGA professional, we will now double in number and a second PGA professional will be onsite. He is an Advanced PGA member and has a great reputation in Hertfordshire. I will publish his name and further credentials in next week's newsletter, but safe to say this person will be delivering a whole range of coaching for all levels of golfer, including junior, ladies, senior and beginner classes.
There will be one-to-one tuition available for all golfers, from high handicappers to scratch golfers. It's an exciting addition to the team - especially as he even coaches Tour Players! For starters, all those people who applied for our Game Improvement Champion will receive an email from the new professional with an introductory offer before anyone else. This will then be published to everyone at a later date. Watch this space for more news!
Hole 17 - 332/318 yards (Par 4)
A blind tee shot aimed just to the right of the pine trees will leave a downhill second to a green guarded by a huge bunker to the front right. Out of bounds to the right for the entire hole. Green slopes away from you for your second shot which makes club selection crucial. Again for a relatively short hole all shots demand your attention.
Hole more putts
A very simple way to hole more putts without working on your technique is to simply use an alignment on your golf ball. One reason most people miss putts is that they pick the line they want to hit, they stand over the ball and line up in a totally different direction. By using a very simple line on the ball and lining the ball up when you replace it after marking it, then lining up to the line on the ball, you know you are lined up correctly. The only thing then is to stroke the ball down that line. I'm not saying you will hole every putt you hit but at least you are giving every putt the best chance of going in. But you should defiantly hole more putts! Give it a go next time you play!
